Mark A. Jofe, M.D.

Dr. Mark Jofe received his medical degree from the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse NY, and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at New York University Medical Center where he was a chief resident. He is board-certified, and a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Jofe served as a clinical associate professor at New York University School of Medicine where taught cataract surgery for over 25 years. He has presented at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery on surgical techniques for cataracts, and has authored & co-authored several publications. He is an attending surgeon at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary and Sheepshead Bay Surgery Center.

He specializes in cataract surgery and implant microsurgery as well as in the laser treatments of glaucoma. He performed over ten thousand cataract microsurgeries and several thousand laser procedures for glaucoma.

Dr. Jofe is the founder of the Jofe Eye Institute, and Sheepshead Bay Surgery Center, a premier state of the art eye surgery and laser center in Brooklyn, NY.
