Lid/Tear Duct Surgery

Oculoplastic and Reconstructive procedures treat disorders associated with the eyelid and the orbit (the structure around the eyelid) as well as the tear drainage system.

Dr. Moskowitz at JEI was one of the first eye surgeons in New York City to perform endoscopic (minimally invasive) procedures to unblock the tear duct, and is one of the most experienced surgeons in New York. He also has the experience and expertise in oculoplastic surgery necessary to perform a wide variety of functional and aesthetic procedures around the eye.

These include treatment for:

  • Ptosis or drooping upper eyelid
  • Eyelid blepharoplasty (excess skin or fatty deposits in the upper or lower eyelid)
  • Ectropion (sagging and outward turning of the edges of the lower eyelid and lashes)
  • Entropion (the inward turning of the eyelid’s edges)
  • Eyelid and eyebrow reconstruction

Botox®: Blocks impulses from the nerve to the tiny facial muscles that are related to expression lines. Botox® relaxes the muscles so they do not contract. After treatment, the overlying skin remains smooth and unwrinkled, while the untreated facial muscles contract in a normal fashion, allowing normal facial expression to be unaffected. There is no chance of scarring and you can resume all your activities immediately after treatment. Filler Injections: (Restylane®, Collagen, and Radiesse™) fills in lines, creases, and depressed scars. They can also be used to add fullness to the cheek area or lip. There is no downtime associated with this procedure and results last between six and twelve months.
